On Jenny Peng

Who is the new freelancer contributing at "Thinking Taiwan", seems to be in the habit of making regular basic errors of fact. Back in May there was her assertion - from childhood memory - that Shihmen reservoir has "stone gates", when clearly she's just been confused by the Chinese name. Now she tells us that Taiwan needs to equally distribute its' "federal funding" for athletics programs between the sexes. Yet Taiwan does not have a federalist government.

How is it she keeps making these obvious howlers?
