However, this morning I managed it. I got up at 5.30am and was ready to go - only to suddenly remember that during the week I had forgotten to replace the lens cap for my 250mm (I lost it somewhere on that mountain in Dongshan). The camera shop doesn't open until 2pm and there's no way I want to be carrying around the lens with a greater risk of it being scratched or damaged until I get a replacement cap.
It's a double-shame because the rain from this week's typhoon finally stopped yesterday and we're now back to sunshine, blue skies and fluffy cumulus clouds. I might try some shots of Agongdian or Jianshanpi this afternoon instead.
Later... the camera shop is closed on Sundays and there are a lot of heavy dark clouds rolling in from the mountains. Wait until another break in the weather next week...
