So, what kind of bird is that, Mike? Inquiring minds want to know, but not for barbecuing purposes mind you.
ReplyDeleteYou know John, I spent an hour going through bird lists trying to find out! I know the Mandarin name, but not the English - though I suspect it's a Wagtail of some sort (it's about the right size). I took a few more pictures this afternoon at the park (it's a common bird) before I went to work so I'll have a look through later and upload a better one.
ReplyDeleteDon't tax yourself searching for me, Mike, and be thankful that it isn't some type of Warbler, which I have a difficult time IDing even with a "Peterson's Field Guide" in my hand and the unidentified Warbler close at hand.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I did the search before I put up the picture. Finding out the English name for this bird is a little thing that's been bugging me for a while. It's also really difficult to get a good shot of them that catches the light properly.
