Politicians' Electricity Bills

So Taiwanese politicians of both parties have astronomical electricity bills.

Wow.

What a surprise...
"These electricity bills have also caught the attention of the Control Yuan, which has decided to launch a comprehensive review... it would be even better if the government set a standard for amenities usage levels, and required any officials or institutions that exceed these standards to foot the bill themselves. Why should the taxpayer have to bear the brunt of official excesses and abuses?"
What's the matter with this guy? Why should Taiwan's taxpayers have to pay for any amount of the electricity bills of these pompous, pampered Mandarins? It's not as if they have to worry about where their next designer suit or Mercedes Benz is coming from.

For Christ's sake.
