Wushantou Reservoir (烏山頭水庫) Panoramas... In Liu Of Miaoli Trip

On Saturday I got up early to do some volunteering (i.e. taking a few kids out to the school field to play footy; in loco parentis) and then spent the rest of the day running errands and doing chores around the house. I had planned to take the midnight train up to Miaoli and do some early morning photography at Mingde reservoir.

Yet what actually happened was that I fell asleep after my dinner and missed the train.

So instead I had a lie in this morning and headed out to Wushantou reservoir late in the afternoon to take photographs from the dam crest - something I had not done in a long time. What I wanted to get were panoramas overlooking the reservoir from the inflection point along the convex curve of the dam. These shots were taken over a period of about two hours from just after 4 p.m. to just after 6 p.m. using several different filter attachments to the 18mm kit lens...

And my new Boards Of Canada substitute whilst out at the reservoirs, "Solar Fields"...
